The PGA Tour's "challengers" head to the Dominican Republic this week for the Corales Puntacana Championship, a tournament that offers a chance for some lesser-known players to shine while most of the top stars compete at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.

The Corales Puntacana Championship is played at the Corales Golf Course, a par-72 layout that stretches to 7,670 yards, making it the third-longest course on Tour. The course is located on the coast of Punta Cana, a popular resort destination known for its white-sand beaches and turquoise waters.

The course features wide fairways, massive bunkers, and paspalum grass throughout. The wind is usually a factor here, as well as the length of some holes. The 18th hole is a 501-yard par-4 that requires a tee shot over water and an approach to an island green.

The course has hosted this event since 2016, when it was part of the Web.com Tour. It became a PGA Tour event in 2018 and has been won by Brice Garnett (2018), Graeme McDowell (2019), Hudson Swafford (2020), and Chad Ramey (2022).

The tournament has a purse of $3.8 million and offers 300 FedExCup points to the winner. It also grants an exemption into next year’s Masters Tournament for non-members who win.

Betting card and thoughts

This time I'm sharing all the data with selections on the final columns. It's a field full of rusty players and the top should content. Some surprises will surely pop-up, but I'm taking limited risk for this one.

Here's the link for the whole table

Will add some thoughts here later, but there's only few hours to make bets before this one goes in-play.
