Le Golf National - former venue of Ryder Cup
Regarded as one of the toughest tests in world golf, Le Golf National has developed a fierce reputation thanks to its undulating 7,331-yard layout dotted with cavernous bunkers and yawning water hazards. The imposing course memorably flummoxed the world's best just few years ago when hosting a tension-filled Ryder Cup won by Europe.
Long known as a shot-maker's course, Le Golf National will reward imaginative play and course management rather than sheer power. Nerves of steel will also be required on the challenging greens, with the winner likely to be the player conquering both the course and their own fears.
